Scope

Design and execute program to section mill (1) Dual string window. Casing window ID’s were scrubbed clean for barrier placement to allow abandonment of the well.

Operator Challenges

Well required (1) windows to be section milled and the outer most casing string ID needed to be cleaned for Inflatable bridge plug placement. Well had sustained casing pressure across multiple casing strings. BOP, crane and power swivel unit were required.

1st Single String Window(Existing) -Depth 1,400’– 1,500’ (100’)
7” x 9 5/8” Casing OD

2nd Dual String Window– Depth 1,415’-1,485’ (70’), 9 5/8” Casing
OD x 13 3/8” Casing OD

The Medusa® VS dual string section milled window was completed
in 4 days of operating time and saved the operator 4 days x
$68,000.00 = $272,000.00USD.
