Introducing Kenny Campbell to Team Abrado

Introducing Kenny Campbell to Team Abrado

At Abrado, we’re committed to operations excellence. This mindset is embedded across our organisation, and continual improvement is the foundation of our operation. In the spirit of continual improvement, we’re delighted to welcome Aberdeen-based Kenny Campbell to our growing team.

With 40 years of industry experience, Kenny is an established professional within the well plug and abandonment sector. He will be joining the Abrado team as a Business Development Consultant based in Scotland and supporting the UKCS market.

Kenny’s impressive experience makes for a very exciting addition to Abrado that we are certain our new and existing customers will welcome. Kenny has worked across the world throughout his career with major companies such as Schlumberger and Weatherford, managing fishing, re-entry, abandonment, and decommissioning operations.

We recently heard from Kenny, who shared why he’s joined the Abrado team and what interests him most about our state-of-the-art proprietary technology.

Why team Abrado?

Having worked with some of the Abrado senior management team in previous roles, I was honoured to commit some of my time to introduce the new Abrado brand to my already established contacts and cultivate new relationships in the industry. I would not have considered the role had I not had complete confidence and belief in Abrado’s brand and people.

What interests you about Abrado’s specialist technology?

With the rapid acceleration in Well P&A and an increasing requirement for rock-to-rock isolation, Abrado’s technology provides a unique solution both in single and dual string casing removal. This can be achieved with or without swarf removal, and the window can be created by either upward or downward milling. This can only be a step forward for cost reduction in Well P&A.

What are your priorities as a BDM consultant with Abrado?

I’ll act as the primary contact for current and future clients within the UKCS, fostering trusting and long-lasting relationships with potential customers. My years of industry experience provide me with the opportunity to provide local technical support as required while acting as a reliable conduit between Abrado’s UK client base and our HQ in Louisiana.

How do you see Abrado and ROMAR’s combined offering supporting the P&A market in the years to come?

It is an offering that makes perfect sense to the end-user as one service supports the other; any offering that can provide a dual service from on a ‘one-stop shop’ basis should create efficiencies in performance and save on the cost of service.
